What We Fund
Discretionary Support
The HNHfoundation provides discretionary support for New Hampshire organizations in an unforeseen one-time financial crisis. Funding awards do not exceed $5,000 per organization. The organization must prove the situation is a single event and document current need and provisions for long-term funding. Eligibility is limited to statewide organizations. The mission and goals of the organization must be aligned with the mission and goals of the HNHfoundation. No Letter of Inquiry is required and requests are accepted at any time during the year. Responses and/or awards are provided within two weeks of the request.

Capital campaigns or expenditures

Expenses already incurred

Fundraising events

Out of state projects that do not benefit New Hampshire residents

Replacement of public funding

Sectarian or religious programs

Support for political activities

International travel expenses

Organizations or projects that discriminate based on age, sex, religion, race, color, creed, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, national or ethnic origin
How to Apply
For application instructions and deadlines, review the latest RFP. Interested applicants are required to submit a Letter of Inquiry prior to receiving an invitaiton to submit a full proposal. Not all Letters of Inquiry receive an invitation to apply.
