Where does your family like to play BEYOND your neighborhood?
That is the question that the Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission (UVLSRPC) will be asking parents in the coming year, with support from the HNH Foundation. This new grant continues our funding of “Safe Routes to Play” which seeks to improve the safety and ease of biking and walking to recreational areas for young children and their families. The HNH Foundation uses its influence and resources to address systemic issues affecting the health of New Hampshire’s youngest and most vulnerable children and their families. We’ve funded assessments of the health status of New Hampshire’s children, supported creative delivery models that increase access to health insurance coverage and oral health prevention services for children, and fostered grass-roots efforts to make New Hampshire communities healthier for children and families. In 2013 we continued that tradition by funding a variety of innovative initiatives that address our three goals; read our 2013 Annual Report to learn more.
